Andrew McKinney is an attorney serving clients throughout Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Andrew resides in Orange Beach, Alabama. He is engaged to his beautiful fiancée, Taylor Pilger. He has three sons, Fisher, Lawson, and Mac. Born in Birmingham, Andrew moved to the Alabama Gulf Coast at age two when his parents, Randy and Betsy McKinney, relocated the family in 1985.
From 2006 to 2012, Andrew served six years in the United States Army, where he completed rigorous training at the Army Infantry School, Army Airborne School, and Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS). Selected in the top 10% of SFAS candidates, he entered the Special Forces Qualification Course (Q-Course) at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Camp McCall, North Carolina. His training included the Warrior Leader Course, Small Unit Tactics Training Program, and S.E.R.E. School (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape). Deployed to Afghanistan in 2009, Andrew served as an Airborne Infantry Sergeant with the 4th Brigade, 25th Infantry Regiment (3/509 Parachute Infantry Regiment) and the 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (187th Infantry Regiment – Rakkasans). He distinguished himself during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2009 and 2010, earning multiple commendation medals for valor and meritorious achievement in combat.
After completing his military service, Andrew pursued a legal career, using the Post-9/11 GI Bill to attend the University of Alabama School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2015. For the past nine years, Andrew has practiced real estate law in Gulf Shores, specializing in Real Estate, IRS Code Section 1031 Exchanges, Probate, Trusts, Wills, and Estate Administration.
