YOUR LAWYER ON THE ALABAMA GULF COAST
I think it is important to know about the person that is going to be representing you. You are engaging in a relationship and will be working together to achieve the best result possible in your case. Instead of giving you a boiler plate summary of my practice, I just want to introduce myself to you and tell you a little about who I am.
I am married to my beautiful bride Ashley Pavey McKinney. We have two sons, Fisher and Lawson. We live in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Other than my time in the Army, undergrad, and law school, I have lived in this area since the age of two. We love our coastal community and we are proud to be a part of it.
2005 - Bachelor of Arts, Political Science - Auburn University
2015 - J.D., University of Alabama School of Law
After college at Auburn, I served six years in the United States Army (2006-2012). While in the Army, I attended several coveted schools and training programs, including the Army Infantry School, Army Airborne School, Special Forces S.E.R.E. School (Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape), and the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center.
For the most part, I served as an Airborne Infantry Sergeant for both the 4th Brigade, 25th Infantry Regiment (3/509 Parachute Infantry Regiment – GERONIMO!) and 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (187th Infantry Regiment – RAKKASANS!). I served with distinction in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom 2009 and 2010, and was awarded multiple commendation medals for heroism and meritorious achievement during combat.
I decided I wanted to get a desk job during one of many patrols through Paktika Province, Afghanistan. So after my time in service, and with the help of the Post 911 GI Bill, I attended law school and received my JD in 2015.
I enjoy helping clients work through their legal issues and I apply the skills I learned while in the military to help accomplish the mission.
